2-3 Wander around the Doge’s Palace, making sure you cross the Bridge of Sighs, then gaze at the ornate craftsmanship inside Saint Mark’s Basilica. 11-12 Start early on day 11 with a visit to the Colosseum and buy skip the line tickets to beat the crowds. Head across to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps and then the Pantheon. If time, go to the Galleria Borghese. On day 12 take a taxi to the Vatican museums and then enter the amazing St. Peterโ€™s Basilica. End the day at Castel Santโ€™Angelo. Dress conservatively as you will be visiting a lot of the religious buildings.

In the afternoon, after arriving in Sorrento, hire a car and cruise along the spectacular Amalfi Coast. When you arrive into Naples look for signs to Circumvesuviana – this will lead you to Naples Garibaldi station from where you can buy tickets to Sorrento (you can’t purchase them online).
14 Take the ferry across to Capri where you can embark on a Blue Grotto tour. Ride the funicolare up to the Piazzetta in Capri Town. Here you can walk to Tiberius’s Villa Jovis and the stupendous views from Villa San Michele. We recommend getting to Capri as early as possible to avoid the crowds.
