Bologna is the birthplace of bolognese (aka tagliatelle al ragù) and some of the best can be found along the laneways of Quadrilatero, off of Piazza Maggiore.

In Florence walk up to Piazzale Michelangelo and have your breath taken by the view then spend the rest of the day in the Duomo cathedral.			Look up. Bologna contains almost 40 kms of beautifully decorated porticoes.
7-8	A full day of sightseeing: start with the famous Uffizi Palace and Gallery then meet the original David at Galleria dell’Accademia. Enjoy an evening stroll across Ponte Vecchioio. Take a morning or afternoon trip to Pisa to see the leaning tower and Duomo.			Florence is best seen on foot so bring comfortable shoes on this Italy itinerary as you’re going to be doing a lot of walking.

Catch a taxi in Rome from a taxi stand – you won’t have to wait long. This site provides a handy guide to fares.
11-12	Start early on day 11 with a visit to the Colosseum and buy skip the line tickets to beat the crowds. Head across to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps and then the Pantheon. If time, go to the Galleria Borghese. On day 12 take a taxi to the Vatican museums and then enter the amazing St. Peter’s Basilica. End the day at Castel Sant’Angelo.			Dress conservatively as you will be visiting a lot of the religious buildings.

When you arrive into Naples look for signs to Circumvesuviana – this will lead you to Naples Garibaldi station from where you can buy tickets to Sorrento (you can’t purchase them online).
14	Take the ferry across to Capri where you can embark on a Blue Grotto tour. Ride the funicolare up to the Piazzetta in Capri Town. Here you can walk to Tiberius’s Villa Jovis and the stupendous views from Villa San Michele.			We recommend getting to Capri as early as possible to avoid the crowds.
